Absalom Goes to Jerusalem

¹⁵ Absalom and all the people, the men of Israel, came into Jerusalem. And Ahithophel was with him. ¹⁶ When David’s friend Hushai the Archite came to Absalom, Hushai said to him, “Long live the king! Long live the king!” ¹⁷ And Absalom said to Hushai, “Is this your kindness to your friend? Why did you not go with your friend?”
